I JUST STARTED A LOW DOSE OF LEXAPRO 5 MGS TO HELP WITH THE DYSTHYMIA AND ANXIETY STUFF I HAVE.
I HAVE ONLY TAKEN IT TWO DAYS NOW AND IN THE EVENINGS AND I WAKE UP FEELING MORE AT PEACE WITH MYSELF INSIDE MY HEAD.
THE ADDERALL XR SEEMS TO GIVE ME TOO MUCH EXCITEABILITY BUT I CAN CONTAIN IT FOR THE MOST PART AND ONLY MAINLY WHEN I TITRATE UP 5 MGS FOR A FEW DAYS THEN IT LEVELS OFF AGAIN.
ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS COMBO WOULD BE APPRECIATED? GREATLY!
i take lexapro 25mg adderall xr 20s and adderall 10s . i have been doing this for a year and a half. i feel fine there is no problem. i feel that this is not a bad combination. its good you feel at peace. peace is a nice thing :D
well maybe the wee dose of lexapro is helping some cause today i felt at peace more so then yesterday!
i am hoping for it to continue working with the adderall though not so sure the adderall is working yet.
adderall takes effect immediately (a half hour after ingestion) lexapro will take a few weeks to get the full benefits. i noticed when i first started on zoloft (similar to zoloft) that one day i was happy and then next day depressed and anxiety but then i took more and it all evened out. so just maybe write down how you feel somewhere so you can rememner your mood from day to day. the adderall though perhaps if you dont feel anything from it then when you talk to you doctor let them know. the same thing happend with me. i was taking 10mg and it didnt help much then i went to 20s and it helped better for the focusing. good luck.
PEKASTARE, HOW LONG DID THE 20 MGS TAKE TO NOTICE ANYTHING? I AM AFRAID THAT SINCE I AM NOT FEELING ANYTHING FROM IT THAT I WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE IT.
I HAVE TRIED RITALIN AND BROKE OUT IN TINY ITCHY BUMPS ALL O VER MY LEGS AND TUMMY AND HAD TO QUIT THAT AND I SO MUCH ENJOYED IT AS I FELT IT WITHIN 20 MNS OF TAKING IT.
MAYBE ADDERALL XR JUST TAKES LONGER TO WORK? I NEED SOME HOPE HERE, LOL...I AM NOT TAKING THE LEXAPRO FOR NOW, I WAS ONLY ON IT FOR THREE DAYS BUT I SWEAR IT WAS HELPING TODAY MORE SO THEN THE ADDERALL CAUSE I WOKE UP FEELING IT AND DIDNT TAKE THE ADDERALL TILL LATER IN THE A.M.
I KNOW THE ADDERALL GAVE ME SOME AWFUL REBOUND ANXIETY THIS EVENING AND I CANT SEEM TO SHAKE IT, MY BODY IS SO TENSE I CANT STAND IT, BUT AM GOING TO GO GET MY PUPPY AND CURL UP ON THE COUCH AND GET LOST IN THE T.V.

CAUTION WITH ADDERALL XR AND LEXAPRO - My 6 year old takes 10 mg. lexapro and 5 mg. Adderall XR. I picked up his prescription today and received a major drug interation co-administration of Adderall XR with Lexapro should be undertaken cautiously. Monitor for signs and symptoms of serotonin syndrome or mental status changes. It may additively increase the activity of serotonin. Make sure your doctor knows that you take adderall XR and Lexapro (especially if it is two different drs. that prescribe the medicines)
I have been on a 10 mg dose of Lexapro for about 6 weeks now, and I am taking 20 mg of Adderall XR and my doctor recently gave me a month prescription to Adderall 20 mg twice a day, but regular Adderall. I take the regular Adderall when I know I want to go to sleep within 6 hours, this is usually for studying. I take the XR (i have some leftover) usually around noon. Adderall helps me with school so much, but I can't help but feel depressed when I am not on it. I took the Lexapro to deal with the anxiety from Adderall, and also I'm an anxious person in general, and I like it so far but it makes me dizzy sometimes. I find it helps to take the Lexapro and the Adderall at the same time because the dizziness doesn't come into affect as much. Does anyone know if the Lexapro will continue to improve my mood? or if it is at its peek?
I am a college student and school is very stressful for me; I am trying to get into the Business School and the course-load is overwhelming. Sometimes I end up taking 3 Adderall in 24 hours, maybe 4, while not sleeping at all. I get a lot of homework done, but then I am miserable for days and I sleep for up to 18 hours sometimes, usually 14-16. Usually, I smoke Marijuana to calm myself down. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is anyone in a similar situation?
Also, is the Lexapro making it hard for anyone else to, well I must say, have an orgasm?
I've been taking 10mg of Adderall XR with 10mg of Lexapro for over a year and it's worked great for me. Initially I took both in the morning but the Lexapro was making me a bit sleepy so I shifted the Lexapro dose to the evening when I am winding down. Lexapro remains in the body for around 24 hours and it doesn't matter when you take it for it's basic effect. (Though if you really need to calm down for a meeting then you would take maybe an hour before you require it's effects)
