Hmmm I always thought DD was the designated driver
just kidding = P thanks for the info, makes sense now
I have not personally tried it, but since my DS takes it, I know a little about it.
If you are an average sized adult, it's pretty likely you may have to wear more than 1 patch. It's made for children, so it only goes up to 30 mg. My son is only 7, and he is on the 20 mg. You can see the size on the Daytrana website, and they have a coupon for 30 free patches.
So, let's just say your doc presribes 50 mg., you would likely have to wear a 30 and a 20. They are kinda big and leave a sticky residue, but they are very effective.
Interesting... I have a question for you though... I've seen the term DS tossed around a lot but never had it explained to me, care to shed some light?DS/Dear Son
DD/Dear Daughter
DH/Dear Husband
DW/Dear Wife
SO/Significant Other
Hope this helps!
I wish they would increase the patch dosage both for children AND adults. I have no adult experience with it, but LOVED it for my son. Unfortunately, he's outgrown the 30 mg dose and now we're searching for new meds. We have tried Concerta, Adderall, Strattera, Ritalin, Metadate and now Vyvanse - all with negative side effects. There were none with the patch - other than if he left it on too long, it made a red mark on his skin. It was easy to use and worked wonderfully. Hope this helps!
