14yr son needs help making friends | ADHD Information

have dealt with this same issue with my 12 year old.

First his meds MUST be in place. My son is annoying without meds, but a great and loveable kid. Your son's meds are NOT working.

HAve you tried concerta and guanfacine as a combo? Or adderall XR?

My son is on concerta AND guanfacine, 90 mg of concerta and 1 mg of guanfacine. He needs an increase, but am waiting for school to get out.

Get involved in ANYTHING, leave town and goe elsewhere. What does he do in the summer?

He needs a social life!!  Lets help him, we can do this together!!

Get him to join a group. Karate might be great. Another thing that might
work is the drama club at school. Generally those kids are a bit more
tolerant. You could contact the guidance department at his school to see if
they sponsor social/socialization groups.

More information would be helpful :) Luvmykids0239932.4052893519he has tried every med under the son and was diagnosed very early at age 4 i dont have any good child couseler to take him to or a therapist we live in a rural area and it just isnt available...he takes focalin xr 20 mg am and focalin xr 10 mg pmmy 14yr old has no friends never has had any...he is depressed and lonely i try to be his friend but he needs a real one his own age any advice?? he is quite annoying if i have to say it myself i can see why kids dont like him he tries so hard and gets so excited when someone does talk to him that he overwhelmes them and runs them off its so sad because he is a good kid
