Its Only Taken 50+ Years! | ADHD Information
To be diagnosed for ADD/ADHD. In the 50's they didn't know about it, and I was just considered to be a bright, but hyperactive kid. I remember my 2nd grade teacher putting tape over my mouth for talking too much (something you wouldn't see these days) I also had multiple tics as a child and still have some. I finally was dx'd with Tourettes last year.
I've gone through soooo many jobs, I lost count. And have moved from state to state, hence my name GypsyWomyn. I've finally settled down for a bit, while I'm working on self improvement. Not working at the moment, but am scared to death when I will need to go back to work. How long will this job last?
Finding this forum has been a miracle! It's like meeting my "twins." We all have so much in common. Everyone has been so informative. I no longer see a counselor, but continue monitoring/changing meds with my doctor.
Hope you all had a smooth and good holiday!Nice to meet you also Gypsy - and cool nickname!!!!
