gums | ADHD Information

I have started taking Dexedrine in the past few months.  I am undergoing some dental work that has involved a fair bit of poking (or rather damage) to my gum line on particular teeth.  There are many things at play here, but I wonder if anyone else has had any issues with their gums while taking Dexedrine or any related drugs.

Specifically, I wonder if it will take longer for my gums to heal while taking Dexedrine?  And if so, is there anything that can help.  If my gums do not heal properly my dentist wants to send me to surgery.  I'm not keen to do this, since I feel that my gums barely had time to heal between visits.

Thanks in advance for any replies...

You may want to talk to your dentist, your doctor or even the pharmacist.  I would think that you could stop taking your meds for the time you are in surgery and a short time after for healing.  But I don't think most ADHD meds affect healing or bleeding.  But I am not a doctor.  Best to check with the pros.
