I apologize. I thought you were perhaps being ironic, but it still didn't make sense to me. But that sometimes goes with the disability, doesn't it?i have good days, then i have my bad days. the older i get(now 30)the worse it gets. on bad days i cant concentrate on any one thing. like if im watching tv and can hear the fish tanks water in the backround. stupid things like that. or today, i went shopping and had to walk out because i felt like i was having an anxiety attack because i couldnt focuss on one item. is this ADD or anxiety? and can anyone relate to this... bright lights! when it is real bright i feel like there is too much to concentrate on. i feel like im losing my mind sometimes! You MIGHT! have "Acute Anxiety Disorder" yes thats right ADD. Call your doctor tomorrow, and Insist on the soonest possible opening!! If does not treat your ADD (lol) then he will direct you to one of his associates, or a pyschological consulting group.. But in the mean time from after you see him/her until you see the psych M.D. make sure your regular doctor at least gives you some ativan or diazapam to mitigate the mental pain you're suffering!! and make sure you communicate that to him/her or else youll just leave with a referal, and a week or two wait or more! time period until you can see the pysch!Hey Monkey...since when does ADD stand for Acute Anxiety Disorder (AAD)? Maybe that's why you sound a bit confused in previous post??
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is the term used in the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR) diagnostic criteria. ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) with or without hyperactivity is the older term from the DSM-IIIRAre you a talking dictionary?? no i dont think so.. its a Acronym! thats also why i put ( lol ) right next to it! i knew the ironyGo talk to your doctor if you are having panic attacks then it may not be ADHD. It sounds like Anxiety. I have had anxiety attacks and they are not fun and get worse with over stimulation. On the upside with some therapy you can work through it and not need medication once you learn to manage it on your own.
My undiagnosed ADD caused my depression and
anxiety.
