Hello, I've been a part-time "lurker" on this board for the last year since my 7 yr old Son was diagnosed with ADD. We had a private Psychiatrist evaluate him and he was diagnosed with ADD (without the Hyperactivity) with a higher than average IQ of 116. She suggested we try medication, but my wife was and has been very opposed to medicating him without trying alternatives. After a year without meds and limited success, she has now at least agreed to discuss meds with our Primary Care Physician.
