I believe that they have over stepped their bounds!!
At our elementary school, the teacher couldn't even come up and tell me he needed an increase. She could only tell me if he had a good day or not and that was like talking in code with her!! But it worked.

I would call somebody, school principal, superintendant, etc. Something is very wrong here!!

I do believe that you can stop that at anytime. I know when we gave the school permission to contact my ex step daughters neruoligist that we could. The release we signed was also only good for one school year. It is very ridiculous that she did that, they are to contact them for medical reasons only, and they are also to contact you. That is the way it is in my state.Did you sign a release form authorizing them to call the doctor? If not, I don't believe that they can call the doctor. If you signed it, I'm sure there's a way to revoke it. Submit a dated letter in writing that you are revoking that permission.
The doctor also needs to have been given permission to speak with the school. If you did not sign a form authorizing that permission, the doctor should not speak to the school about your child even if they call him/her.
i wrote in the issues with school forum here-can they do this? but no one has wrote-so i need an answer quick- can I terminate my son's school from phoning his dr or psychologist etc. the school counselor called the psychiatrist that josh no longer goes to and told him she feels josh needs to be put into a inpatient mental health facility. I need to know if I can stop this- i think its ridiculous.
