Need to Get rid of your Adderall | ADHD Information
Hey!
I was wondering if there is anyone in Northern VA who is looking to get rid of some adderall. I know this might sounds weird, but i just lost my insurence. Please let me know asap =) (please read below before you judge LOL)
I have the records to show I have been on it for 2 and a half years. I am not just some bummmm haha
I didnt have only 3 left from my RX (20 mgs) (the rest of todays and for tomarrow) i take twice a day. I dont know what i am going to do. I tryed to take myself off before, and I ALMOST lost my job!
I'm really worried. If anyone knows anything I can do, or if somone or a Dr. can help me PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
Thanks!!!
-Amanda
please somone get back to me on this..i dont know what to do. Anyone have any ideas???
Amanda - I'm sorry to hear you lost your insurance. I have insurance but not for ADHD medications. So, we're in the same boat.
The first thing I would suggest is to talk to your doctor. Short acting Adderall is available in generic form and it's not terribly expensive. Adderall XR is expensive no matter what. There are also other medications that aren't very expensive. My Dexedrine (which isn't going to work by the way) was only for 5mg 2x day.
I believe "giving" you some Adderall would be illegal and it would only be a temporary fix to a more permanent solution (no insurance).
There are places to assist you with your medication. Check out the links on these boards. Pharmaceutical companies will also help for those with no insurance. Unfortunately, i don't qualify because I have insurance - even if that insurance doesn't cover ADHD medications.
Do you try to implement behavior modification techniques? Have you tried Omega-3? I heard that really helps. Did you have a job before you started medication? If so, what helped you keep that job? I know you're concerned about losing your job but asking other people for their medicine is not the way to go.
