tics caused by daytrana | ADHD Information

My son developed tics on concerta- we took him off and 6 months later he started ticing again.  Tics are just brought out by the stimulants sometimes.  He is now on clonidine for the tics and that has made them go away.  During school he is also on focolin xr.  The combo seems to be good with him.  A ped. neurologist put him on these meds.well it is the 2nd day on the patch and I cut it in half.  NO TICS. so glad.  don't know it you are sappose to cut the patch in half but it worked for me.

I am new here and have a question.  I hope some one can help.

My son was just diagnosed with ADHD.  we started Daytrana today.  but this after noon we noticed his tounge will not stop.  he moves it around in his mouth all the time.  Is this a tic caused by the meds.  HE has never done this before.  and will it go away after a week or two.  has anyone else had this problem.  My son is really annoyed by it also.  he said his mouth hurts.  can anyone please help???
