seizure type reaction to adderall | ADHD Information
I recently witnessed a seizure type reaction to adderall. the person had little control of his muscles especially his arms and legs. he flopped them around (reminds me of the lack of muscle control that CP people have) He was drenched with sweat and was not very conherent. I took him to the er and once his mother got there (he is 27) they let him go after determining his blood pressure was ok. These episodes occur at least once a week. Usually they last one half hour and they put him in the shower to calm him down. He is also on another medication xyerm. I could not find any reactions for that. He is now abusing adderall as well as xyrem. And it is getting worse. Help
One of the side effects of Xyrem (sodium oxybate) if it is ABUSED is seizures. Information about this drug is all over the internet. I took the below information from the manufacturers website. If your friend is abusing his medications he needs to go into a drug detox program. Good luck.
