Thank you for the positive words!

I just wanted to start a positve thread for those who are new to the boards.

I was once a "newbie" and I found the boards when I was desperate, sad, exhausted and frustrated.  I needed (need) these boards for support and venting and advice.

I just want those of you who are having a hard time to know that it does and can get better.

You know your child better than anyone and YOU can make whatever decision YOU want to to make your childs life better for this very day.

From my personal experience, my sons ADHD experiene has gotten "better" as he gets older.

By better, I don't mean "cured".  I mean better as: children mature and their behavior changes, kids learn how to deal with their symptoms as they get older, children learn how to manage themselves in situations as they get older.  Children who are older can tell how their medication effects them, for the better or worse.  I think in general they just seem to understand themselve more.

I also have personally noticed that our issues go in "spurts", we'll have a great run for a long while and then a wrench will be thrown in and we're sent on a whirl wind for a time.  I don't get upset about this, I just go with the flow and think to myself, there must be a reason God is putting me thru this whirl right now, what am I to learn from this situation... and I let it take it's course.

We've been on a nice long run for quite some time, things are good and my son is happy.

I guess my point is: love your child for who they are, do all you can to help your child today, keep a positive attitude and HANG IN THERE :)

Good day to all!
