Really not sure what to do . My 9 year old has ADHD possible aspergers which we are waiting to see someone about.
I have recently found out that she has not been taking her med's for about 10 days believe it or not we do supervise her. Things just seem to be getting worst .
Last night I heard a loud bang and ran to find out what had happened she had decided to cut the hoover lead with some scissors, the lead was still pluged in hence the bang. I can't believe she did it.
Afterwards she said she knew it was wrong but something in her head tells her to do these things although she knows it is wrong. I feel that sh can not be left alone at all as I'm just not sure what harm she will come to.
It' like she gets so angry mainly at that she just flips .
Do you think this is because she's been off the meds? Do the meds help this type of impulse problem?First of all, how can you be supervising her and not know that she is NOT taking her meds?
We wake up our son early and literally put them in our son's mouth then he swallows the water and goes back to sleep. If he wakes up and comes down, we still hand them to him and then hand him the bottle of water. We know he has taken them.
How old is your daughter? Are you having her evaluated for aspergers? What do the doctors who diagnosed her adhd think?
