ritalin or concerta and depression? | ADHD Information

My 7 yo daughter was on Concerta for a month- it worked great the first week and then less great the next three weeks- and she lost 8 lbs- only weighed 50 to begin with.  We took her off the Concerta and then tried Vyvanse (made her vomit and gave her stomach and chest pain), Focalin (kept her up till 4am), and Strattera (made her hallucinate).  We decided the weight loss on Concerta was the least evil choice and put her back on Concerta.  This time, it made her extremely depressed, withdrawn, whiny, tired. 

We just went to a new ADHD specialist (psychiatrist) and he recommended short acting Ritalin to try.  So I gave her 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet 3 times today- she was horribly depressed almost zombie like just from that small dose. 

Has anyone had a similar reaction?
