Side effects - how long to wait ?? UPDATE | ADHD Information

Did you gradually climb up to this dose?  IDK what's the lowest dose of Vyvanse.  If not, maybe he needs a gradual increase to help his body adjust? My son was on Vyvanse at varying doses as well. The anger and moodiness were too much to handle after 1 year we went on Concerta and now things are on a much more even keel. He does metabolize the Concerta fast, but we have a booster of Focalin for afternoons if he needs it. The Vyvanse was started because he would not swallow pills. but after 1 try he figured out he could do it without a problem which has left many more options available.**UPDATE**

We're switching my son from Vyvanse 30mg to Metadate CD
10mg. The moodiness and him being SO incredibly emotional
over EVERYTHING is way too much. Plus he's just SO QUIET on
the meds.

We're starting on the smaller dosage and will increase as
we need to.

I'm hoping this one works better for us!Ok, my younger son started back on 30mg of Vyvanse this
past weekend (Saturday). He's had it in him now for 5
days and the moodiness/weepiness along with the
nausea/upset stomach is still present.

We dropped him from the 40mg he'd been on since February
(we took him off meds in June for the summer, he gained
5lbs!) because the moodiness was quite apparent.

Well now, it's quite apparent on the 30mg. How long
should we give it before we call the doctor and ask for
something different? I'm supposed to call the doctor on
Friday with an update and will be sure to mention my
observations. My son has DEFINITELY been more calm and
focused/attentive, but his moodiness is going to drive me
batty! Along with him saying the meds make him feel sick
EVERY single morning. That feeling doesn't usually go
away until mid-afternoon.

What would you do?!asdkidsarecool40052.3204398148
