What is an ADHD coach? | ADHD Information

I'm new to these boards and trying to learn my way around.  What is an ADHD coach used for?  How do we identify a coach on this board as opposed to another member?

I am not 100% sure I will have this correct, but I believe it is someone with experise in the area of ADHD disorder and they help the child and/or the family deal with the disorder.  Medications can help with some of the symptoms but things like poor impulse control, forgetfulness, not aware of consequeces of their actions, etc.  I hope I have this somewhat close to being correct. 

Boy is our family/child in need of a coach.  Anyone in the Houston area????

 

I would like to know too! If you find out please let me know. I think I need some coaching....

Haven't gotten any response yet.....How about Cincinnati???An adhd coach is someone that helps you get organised or work on your problem areas by offering suggestions and support. There are literally coach's for everything now a days, the most common you hear of is a career coach or mentor. This is the same deal only the topic centers on ADD.

It looks like the price is around 25.00, but I don't know if that is just for the initial set up. I personally have not done this yet.
