My advice would be to talk to his doctor about his behavior.
I know that Strattera works wonders for many, many children, but for my Grandson, it made things much worse.  When he came to live with me 3 years ago, he was taking Strattera and Adderall. As time passed, he became increasingly more irritable/angry and his behavior became more physically aggressive.  After he threatened me with a fireplace poker, I was so desperate for help that I arranged for him to be seen by a Psychiatrist who immediately stopped the Strattera and increased slightly his Adderall dosage.   I was amazed that his behavior quickly returned to normal.

You can find a safety warning at http://www.strattera.com/redesign_common/important_safety_in fo.jsp    It says "Call the doctor right away if your child develops new psychological symptoms such as abnormal thoughts/behaviors and/or extreme elevated or irritable moods while taking Strattera." Mimi'sNan40075.4423726852My son also has problems in the am and pm when he comes down of his Concerta during the day. We have recently added a bump of Ritalin in the morning before school(early) and it seems to have taken care of the am issues. In the evening when the Concerta wears off, we haven't had too bad of time with it as long as he gets a break from homework and especially if he does something physical for 15 min like jump on the trampoline on ride his bike around the block a couple of times, then he comes back and finishes homework. Some people give another bump then but we have chosen not to so far. Good luck I know how it feels to be in a crazed situation all the time and it hurts!  I also agree that a talk with the doc may be in order and this might not be the right med for him. spamula40076.3100694444Im new to this so I hope this works.  I have a 10 yr old that has ADHD, he takes strattera everyday...   It is like pulling teeth to get him up or to do anything for that matter.  He swears and says mean things when he gets mad at me for trying to get him to do things.  Then when I finally do he pulls a subject out of thin air and starts crying about whatever.  Then he starts saying that hes not going to school cuz he is crying and can't stop. uugggg....then at night I have tryed setting bedtime and he goes, then gets up for a snack then goes back, then gets up to go pee, then goes back then comes in my room to tell me that hes not tired and can't go to sleep!....this is an every day thing!!!  I am a single mother, I have a son older than him that tries to help but it just causes an blowout fight between them.  I told him to stay out of it.  But he continues to try to help.  I do work all day.  I get home from finally getting him to school and I want to cry and I start getting a stomach ache.  Anyone have any advice???
