Too much affection?Question: My nine year old is doing well. His medicationseems to be in a good place. I have one concern but am not sure if I should be concerned at all. He is extremely affection towards me. He hugs me several times, ex., everytime I walk into a room. He also loves to curl up on me and rub any exposed part of my body. Fat rolls and all. He did this when he was younger and use to do it to teachers but I blamed in on nursing. Should I be concerned or will he grow out of this on his own? Mom I don't even know if this is an adhd thing.? Not sure. I nursed two, one of them my adhd son, who is not like this from nursing. he stopped at 18 months. My daughter stopped at almost 3 yrs old - she was kicked off!! Any seperation anxiety? Does it happen in front of friends? I would think as he becomes concerned as to what people think, he would stop. Others may tease him. Is there any "gentle way" to work on it with him? My adhd son is sensative, I bet yours is as well. I would be very careful. I would hate for him to fear rejection. Just my opinion. |
