Concussion Induced ADD | ADHD Information

We are 7 weeks post concussion and she's still out of school.

The school is being great and will accommodate her in anyway she needs when she returns.  Unless she has a major turn around in the next week,  she may not go back until after the Christmas break.
I imagine it's scary to see these changes, but know that they should be temporary.  Give her time to heal, and don't push the schoolwork now.  She can make it up later when she's up to it.My 15 year old daughter received a concussion about 5 weeks ago.  She is still in the recovery phase - headaches, fatigue, can't concentrate, memory issues, etc.  She's been out of school for 5 weeks.

She short term memory is not good.  She's forgetting conversations and not retaining the little bit of school work she has tried.  Does any one else have any experience with head injury induced ADD?   Any suggestions on how to aid the recovery process?   Lots of rest and not simulations are the recommendations we have received.

We've been told that all of what she is experiencing are normal post concussion symptoms,  but is hard to watch your straight A honor student and outstanding equestrian not be able to retain simple homework.    It's frustrating, stressful and scary.
My cousin missed several months of work due to a concussion.  It can take awhile.
