Ritalin for the first time! | ADHD Information

My son didn't have good luck with the long acting meds.  They wore off in the middle and he needed a booster.  We've had the best luck with the short acting type and we can give it to him every 2 1/2 hrs if we need to (he just metabolizes it so fast!).  You should see at least some results right away...good luck and keep us posted!

Trying Ritalin today for the first time.  10mg this morning before food.  First success.. he swallowed the pills without making a fuss.  So far so good. 

He tried stimulants last fall, but was unable to tolerate.  This time we are not trying the long lasting type.  I want to know if we will see anything positive before we go for a full day coverage.
