My 10 yr old son started a week ago on Intuniv. I wanted to try it alone, but the after the first few days I added the Adderal XR back in. So far so good. I can tell a calming effect. I am anxious to get to the 4mg as he has always been on the highest dose of any med he takes. I think his body metabolized meds quickly.
It will make him drowsy so Christmas break will be a great time to try it.
I am supposed to start intuiv 1mg today for my 8 yr. old son, I have been reviewing all the good and bad points and I am nervous about starting him. Does anyone have any suggestions? I also started him on fish oil omega 3's which help a little bit but not enough.
