Intuniv - time of day/how long lasts | ADHD Information

My daughter takes her 2mg first thing in am with stims. She gets sleepy at night...goes to bed at 7:30 with no prompting! Our mornings ar better...not perfect but better. She jsut started teh 2 mg christmas so it hasn't been long.

My child started 2 mg four days ago, and he's still taking 1/2 mg Tenex in the afternoon, so I can't comment yet about Intuniv wearing off.  Next week we'll eliminate the Tenex.  He's taking Intuniv at 7:30 AM.  I'm not yet sure whether he's doing better ADHD-wise than he was on Tenex, but anxiety we've seen recently has been better on Intuniv over Tenex.  My child also takes Metadate CD and Zoloft.

Thank you all who have replied so far... we are doing well with taking it in the PM so we are sticking to it for now...

My son is 6 and I give him 1mg of Intuniv with 40mg of Vyvanse at 7am. By school time (9) he is ready to go. I have noticed the med combo lasting till around 5ish. His Vyvanse was wearing out around 1pm so we are very happy to see the improvement! He's been on the Intuniv for about 2 1/2 weeks now. He sleeps and eats soooo much better with the addition of the Intuniv!
we just started .. my son is taking 1mg at 7:30am and we've not noticed a wearing off per se... nor have we noticed a particular tiredness.. he still goes to be at 9pm and is up at 7am.  We're due to increase to 2mg in another day or two...

Should I expect a big change in how he does on the increased dose?

My DS is 5 1/2 and has been on Intuniv for 4 weeks.  He is currently on 2 mg and we give it to him in the morning around 7:00 A.M.  We are still playing with the doses and I have considered trying the medicine at night.  I am just concerned he will be too sleepy half way through school.  The tiredness is much better but he still has moments.

I am not real sure how long the med is working at this time.  He is definetly in need of it by the next morning and it seems to take an hour to kick in.

The medicine seems to really have helped with his hyper/implusiveness but still debatable on the focus.

rexrdc640167.9385069444I've noticed this information scattered across several threads, but I'd like to have a discussion where we simply post a) what time of day we are giving Intuniv, and b) how long it lasts.  I know the information will help me as I adjust my son's dosage and times....

Me first:

a. We give 3mg after school, around 4pm.

b. It appears to last until mid-morning the next day, according to observations by both my son and me -- 18 hours give or take.
