Mom Sleep Deprived--please help | ADHD Information

When my son took Melatonin regularly, he would work up a tolerance to higher doses and I would have to stop giving it for a few months to let his brain readjust...

Now that he's been taking Tenex/Intuniv, I haven't had to give him Melatonin hardly at all (he'll ask me for it maybe once a week).  So instead of the Melatonin, you may want to talk to your doc about adding Tenex or Intuniv.

There's also Benadryl, FYI... although they work up a tolerance to that too eventually.

Audrey 12 yr old daughter, ADHD, has been afraid to sleep alone for 5 yrs. I have
been giving her 3 mg Melatonin for l-o-n-g time. Anybody know if it's
okay to give up to 5 or 6 mgs a night at this age? I am so very, very. tired of
not getting to sleep in my own bed (5 yrs and running.....)
Please help.
