HELP! Should I stop and switch?

My son has been doing great on short acting Focalin, especially getting
great reports from school. However, he is still lightly touching his face as if
a little itchy from time to time. It's very minor, and doesn't last long at all,
and is also not making him uncomfortable. Still, I know its a reaction from
the meds- a very minor version perhaps of the horrible itching and picking
I've read others have experienced seeing in their children. It was more
prominent when we first started, and now it's almost non existent, but still
lingering a bit. Should I wait to see if it goes away completely, and if it
doesn't should I definitely switch to something else? The benefits certainly
outweigh this side effect, but I wonder if this indicates the med is not right
for him, and we should switch if it doesn't disappear entirely? Please share
your thoughts and experiences...Thanks!
"....The benefits certainly
outweigh this side effect..."

So my advice would be:
"If it's fixed, don't break it!"
by switching meds.

I agree with John D...if it doesn't bother him then I wouldn't worry about it.  It's great that this seems to be the only side effect he's experiencing!
