Concerta and weight issues | ADHD Information

need advice about 4lb weight loss in 4months.
ds is not hungry during the day, eats dinner than tries
to pig out before bed.

Any suggestions of things he can eat to incress his
weight that is not full of gross stuff...ie those store
bought nutrition shakes....
The only advice the Ped has given has been to feed him
ice cream and butter and things that will not work for a
child that is very hyper and is on a strict natural
diet(no additives or preservitives).

He has been on Concerta for about a year and a half is up
to 72mg behavior is good but is only 56lbs!!!!
I could see his heart beating through his chest yesterday
while he was sitting still for a hair cut by dh.

He has always been short and small but this is getting
crazy!!!! oh he is 11 years old will be 12 in july!meli40226.9423842593You may want to talk to your Dr about tenex with the concerta, it is a blood pressure medication that have found works good with AD/HD kids.  We were on it and it did slow him down, BUt too much he was falling asleep in school.  We are just starting to try focalin but with no tenex.  So I have no expierence with putting it with another medication, but I have read that it is common to put these two together.
