Big Teacher License Test | ADHD Information
I don't have any good suggestions, but I thought I'd bump you back up to see if anyone else had advice. One thought I had was postponement. My sister was recently studying for her CPA, and a lot of other stuff came up and she couldn't cram in all the study time needed so she postponed her test. Don't know if that's possible, but it would give you more time to take it slower. Hopefully someone else has more practical advice for you. Either way, good luck with your test! What an accomplishment. I haven't taken medication for about 8 months now and
I've noticed a few changes, but nothing too huge that I
couldn't deal with until now. I can't read books with as
much speed or attention (which *is* frustrating), but
I've been able to keep up with my work and relationship.
Now, though, I have a big test on March 6 to become a
licensed teacher and I feel like trying to fill my head
with 15 years worth of math (up to calculus) is proving
to be too much for my non-medicated brain. I'm not sure
what to do. There aren't any psycs in the area that are
booking appointments soon enough. I just can't seem to
pay attention, though!
I read through questions and think i've read "add" when
it really was "subtract". I don't know how to slow down
right now well enough to read the questions properly
(especially since I feel I am reading them correctly at
the time). I don't *want* to take meds and it'd be hard
to get them right now. Any suggestions on how to slow
down and focus?
