Considering starting my 13 year old on Clonidie due to severe vocal and facial tics. I have heard it causes drowsiness - If I give it to him in the evening, will it address his tics throughout the next day?

We don't have any experience with Clondie but...
Our son has issues with tics also. He is on Tenex, which I believe is the same kind of med. Hypertension med..central nervous system calming. We do give him the Tenex at night and it does build up in his system over a few weeks. He was a bit tired the first 2-4 days but then his normal hyper self.
