Switching Doctors/Med Question | ADHD Information

Thanks so much for your advice, and opinion on the situation. lilly240237.8652083333ADHD medications don't work just because you take them. Everyone responds differently to different med's and different doses which is why a doctor wont just write you a prescription. Straterra has to ramp up because its a blood level medication so significant gains aren't seen anyway until the med's are in your system for 4 to 6 weeks. A competent physician will not write a prescription until they confirm what they are dealing with in terms of treatment. No doctor is going to meet you half way when there is even a minimal chance that negligence can occur. Thyroid problems must be ruled out and any doctor that would write a prescription based on a  patients request shouldn't be practicing medicine. Good luck.
