trouble with teacher

wondering how to handle my sons 2nd grade teacher. I have informed her we are trying different meds. and establishing ourselves with a therapist who specializes in ADHD. Still she seems to be frustrated with our son when he is not  on medication. I have asked her to be patient with us and especially our son until we get him stable. Recently this week she told him in class" you have a listening problem " and picked his desk up and isolated him  to an "island" as she put it. Our son said he doesn't  think he did anything wrong for her to get upset with him. He felt hurt.    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Aaaaaaaaah. This is unacceptable in my books. My son is so lucky he has a teacher that understands. Even when she calls me now, it is out of concern for a bad day, NOT to b***h me out for my son's behavior.

Have you talked to the principal? The resource teacher? Someone who is a "professional" telling her not to do this might help her with her own "listening problem." Which apparently she has, if she has been told about your changes and still is singling him out.

Kids with ADHD do have a listening problem. They can't always focus or remember something they have just been told. She has no right to tell him that, let alone isolate him for it.

Get some higher-ups involved. Call an RTI meeting if you have to. But do NOT let this teachers behavior continue. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this.
