Risperdal | ADHD Information

Risperdal took my son down a notch or two. Initially it was a relief, but
after a few weeks he was weepy and sad most of the time. When we
added Ritalin the sadness went away. When we changed fro Ritalin to
adderall, the sadness returned.

Hope this helps!it's possible the dose might not be quite high enough. my ds is on .05 mg of Risperdal.  He is 7 and weighs 87 lbs.  He had to go back on this since stimulants wouldn't work it made him too aggressive and mean.  He was dx'd with PDD-Nos and ADHD.  That could be a reason the doctor put your son on Risperdal since it does help with the Autisic condition.  I know it won't help with the focus but maybe the Ritilin will help with that with you son.My son seams to be doing a little better seance he has been on this but dont know about his mood swings. Any help??
