Alt. Laundry Soap Needed | ADHD Information

Share
My son is 7 and has ADHD.  We have taken the natural way of correcting his ADHD with vitamins, minerals and diet and it is working great.  I am so happy with the results.  We have come across though that a chemical or something in our laundry soap my son is sensitive to.  Does anyone know of any alternatives that are safe for a child with ADHD?  What are you other parents doing for laundry soap if you have also chosen the natural alternative to help with your child's ADHD symptoms?  Any help, suggestions or ideas greatly appreciated!!!!

You could try calling the company of a natural detergent and see if they would have any samples for you to try.  Sometimes, if you explain your situation they will be more than willing to help.

Also, at one natural food store we lived next too, they at times had samples out for the customers to take on different days.  So you could call the store also and see if they have any samples.

Good luck and I hope you find something soon!

Have you tried Dreft for babies?  Or have you tried any of the detergents that say Free on them?

When my ds was younger he had eczema so we used Dreft for the youngest time or bought Tide Free.

Hope you can find something that helps.

No hadn't thought of Dreft for babies.  I used to use that when they were little though.  I have purex natural now, but its the one that we've been using for him, but when he was muscle tested with it, they told me it was no good for him.  So I was like.. great.  And the bad thing is, I have no idea which chemical or what it is in the soap thats bad for him.  I even made that homemade laundry soap from the Duggars website and it was bad for him too.  All that is in it is Fels-Naptha bar of soap, Borax and Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda.  So I was like.. great.. what will we do.  I don't even know if using those laundry soaps in the whole food/health food stores would help or not.  They are very expensive and hate to buy one and then later be told they are bad for him too.  All this can be so overwhelming and frustrating sometimes.  Thanks though.. I will look into these and go from there! When I was a kid the only soap my mon could use was Ivory Snow.  I use Tide Free now.
