I need to find someone that can help me with a custody schedule for my two children.  I have currently gone through a custody case with my ex-husband where I have primary physical custody with us still having joint custody.  I have sole authority over health and education with my ex-husband having sole authority over extracurricular and religion.    There were several reasons why I went to court, but the main reason was my children living schedule.  For the last five years they have been on a week to week schedule, with Monday being the start and stop day.  The issues that I had with that schedule, was that is was very hard to get into any kind of routine or structure.    My oldest son is 13 years old, he has learning problems since he started school.  He has been held back in second grade and he is still two years behind with his age and one year behind grade level.  He is in middle school now, and being with his friends is becoming very important to him.  He gets very upset with me, because I am the parent that sets up the tutors, visual therapy and therapy.  My youngest son is 10 year old and is ADHD.  He also was held back in second grade.  He is upset about the new schedule that just started on Monday.    I have an attorney in Fairfax VA,who did not have my children's therapist testify in court about the schedule.  Due to this, the schedule that was selected is not what is in their best interest.  My children have seen Mrs. Sylvia Haydash, LCSW, in Manassas, she has stressed her concerns about the schedule to me as well as my ex-husband.  My ex-husband is not willing to change the schedule and will not do what is best for the boys.     I need to get help from specialist who can help with this.  Below is what the boys schedule was and what the new schedule looks like.  The judge has ruled that my ex-husband should have between 40 to 45% visitation.  These are the concerns that I have with the new schedule.  1.  The amount of switches they will now make. 2.  The boys are never at the same house from the week to weekend - this effects them with there friends, there dad live 25 minutes from us. 3.  The amount of time that my children spend in the car in the morning with Joey having ADHD, there is no structure in the morning. 4.  This schedule is more flip floppy that the one week schedule.
