Newbie Looking for Best Books & DVDs

Thanks so much KJL. I have Delivered from... and it's great (and i agree with
your advice about cherry-picking content). I still hope to find book and
video tools that are more visual and interactive -- even fun. DVDs i've
bought are informative but kind of clinical. Will keep hunting...AlanHi, i'm a new member and first want to say thanks for this forum.

I have purchased a few ADHD-related DVDs that were disappointing and
struggled through a good number of books that were simply too text-rich
and/or long to hold my interest and yield real help. Can anyone recommend
their favorite books and/or DVDs? Thanks

ADDAlanDriven to Distraction and Delivered from Distraction by Hallowell are excellent choices for a beginning!

Currently, I am reading "The Disorganized Mind" by Nancy Ratey.  It teaches one to self-coach.

And noone said you have to read the book from page 1 to page 300 in one straight shot.  Skip around, read the parts that pertain to you and that are important to you.  Borrow books from the library first to see if you would benefit from purchasing them.  And the beauty of owning the book is that you can write in it and take as much time as you need to read it and you can always go back and re-read it. :)

I don't know about any DVD's.  Maybe someone can help with that?
