New to Strattera, any advise?? | ADHD Information

I just started taking Strattera 40mg yesterday.  I also take Paxil 50.  I know every person is different but really...what am I to expect?  A wonderful knew feeling, better memory, no more depression??  I just can not believe I could possibly feel like a real person and not an airhead as others have always thought .

I take Prozac/strattera. When I first started Strattera I had some stomach upset/head etc. but within 2 wks or so it settled down. I also felt like a zombie for a bit until it settled in, I can not skip 2 days in a row and then start it and not feel like zombie. Once settled in you will not feel that way! I focus easier /quicker, it really doesn't work depression that is what Paxil may help with but I know that is an anti-anxiety drug. Most people from a group I attend are on 2 meds! one for ADD and one for depression or anxiety, seems like the norm.

Strattera is not a cure all, at least not for me, it just helps me slow down to focus. I still forget things (alot is hormonal for me! LOL) those of use with ADD/ADHD need to realize that a pill isn't going to cure it or our issues but it helps us cope and others to cope with us.

We need to accept how and who we are and live with it and be with others that can accept/deal with us.
