Dexadrine and tiredness | ADHD Information
If you burn more energy they you produce, fatigue is the result. For example, pre meds your body produced 10 units of energy (of our imaginary factor) by the food you eat, how much rest you got, how much enjoyment you have in life, etc.
You used 8 of those units each day. Then suddenly you start burning 12 units a day, eventually it catches up. Also, you burn more vitamins and minerals on meds then off. So you should watch your essential nutritional needs. Hi,
I've been taking dexadrine (10mg extended release) for ADD (no
hyperactivity here) for about 6 weeks. It seemed to help quite
dramatically with my focus, but also seemed to make me feel more
resilent energy wise (less struggle in the morning, less drag in the
afternoon). The last three weeks though I feel like I've swung
the other direction and feel exhausted all the time, it seems like more
than my pre-med tiredness.
This could all be the result of other things, the holdiays throw all
healthy routines out the window (sleep, eating, exercise). Just
wondering if this is something others have experienced.
Thanks!
Wen
