Help! | ADHD Information

I just came out of the bathroom, to find my son, age 6, grab his sister (age 4) forcefully by the face and try to drag her to the floor because she called him a baby.  He just flipped!  He is not normally violent.  He throws tantrums, but have NEVER seen this.  He is not on meds, is just going through his assesments.  I lost it.  I screamed, yelled, told him to go to his room and get his jammies on, he was going to bed.  He is still in his room, door closed, screaming and yelling, kicking the door, and throwing stuff at the door.  Is it normal for ADHD kids to just flip like that?  I just wanna cry and scream right now, with everything else going on, problems with my DD (adhd/odd) and DH (adhd/depression).  I am at my wits end today! I have experienced the same thing with my daughter before medication.  Sometimes she would just lose it.   Once in the room - the same things - she even broke her door.   At one point we had pretty much removed everything from her room.

Take a deep breathe.  It does get better.   My daughter is now 13 and we rarely have issue - and never as bad as they were in the past.
