Is it safe to take stimulants with an over the counter allergy med? My 6 year old is on metadate and he has seasonal allergies.I find that it has been no problem although ask the doc which ones he has suggested using with taking stims with allergy meds. My son is very allergenic and has asthma as well he can take zyrtec.Do not take anything with pseudoephedrine if a stimulant also is in the system.  It can send the heart racing dangerously fast.  Otherwise, check with your doctor and/or pharmacist.  My child takes Metadate CD, Intuniv, Allegra, Nasonex, Benadryl (and Zoloft).
