oh God | ADHD Information
My son has been sort of going through it for the past few weeks, so he
started going back to his therapist. She said his problem is that he has
been bullied at school and has a complete lack of adult support at the
school to help him deal with it.
I heard that and I wanted to throw up. I can't believe he had it that bad
and I didn't realize it. And I want to throttle everyone at the school -
they're so quick to discipline him for every little thing, even when they
occur when his ed tech is MIA. And basically everything he's been doing
has been reacting to bullying.
All I can say about it is his principal better thank his lucky stars that it's
school vacation and I have 5 days to cool down. I agree as well. My son is small and a passifist and does get bullied. He is afraid if he reports them they will find out and hurt him. We did go forward 1 x because it was so bad I made him. It worked out and the school took care of the issue. Even the other kids saw it but the teacher never did.
Yes, I agree with kjl2691. Can you please update us with how your son is doing and what the son is doing FOR you both.
I live here in Massachusetts and we have had a number of bullying issues, the latest was 3 kids bullying a down syndrome child on the bus.
As well as a 11 year old boy committing suicide and a 15 yr old girl that has been all over the news.
My son has been going through it as well. It is horrific, to say the least, especially when your child is a pacifist.
Keep us posted Corrina!! And hugs to you both!
Corrina - Make sure you contact the school board and superintendent as well. then maybe the principal will be more responsive to your sons' needs.
