Strattera and liver disease | ADHD Information

I'm not sure if I remember reading about that or not. Have you gone to the actual web page about Straterra (I think the company is Lilly). I remember when my son was trying straterra and I read all the "fine print" about the drug testing results, side effect statistics, etc. but I can't remember if there were any cases of liver damage.

I do know that all meds (even vitamins) eventually pass through the liver. I know from personal experience that liver damage does NOT mean liver disease. I ate a whole bunch of chewable tylenol when I was a little kid (I thought they were candies). I had liver damage, but my liver function is fine now.

That said, ask the doctor. And if she/he doesn't answer your questions, you can always send an email to the Lilly company itself. Let us know what you find out.      My daughter has been on Strattera since November.  We are beginning a new regimen of meds so she is off everything.  Through some routine bloodwork, the dr has found signs that are pointing toward liver damage.  Has anyone else ever had this from Strattera use?Thans for your post.  We are in the processing of having her blood redrawn.  My pediatrician consulted with the docs at Children's Hosp and they feel that further testing is needed.
