My son recently mentioned that he thinks the medication is not enough. He is recently diagnosed and we put him on Adderall (generic) 10 mg extended release and he weighs 65 lbs. Since he has issues falling asleep, the doctor believes it is at the correct dosage. I asked the teacher if she has seen any changes recently, there were dramatic changes when he first went on the meds a few months ago, and she said that he works slowly and deliberately-sometimes too slow. I was just wondering if it is the meds or something else? Prior to starting meds, I think he also worked very slowly but I think because it was so difficult to sit still and focus. Just wondering if people have had this experience and if they changed meds did it help?
