My son is 13 yoa and about 85 pounds. We did the starter pack and got him to the target dose of 40 mg. We have since increased the dose and are giving him 25 mg. 2 xper day. It seems like the dose wears off after about 6 hours, so the doc recommended giving my son 40 mg. in the a.m. and 25 mg. in the evening - increasing it again to 65 mg. Wondering your thoughts on this and if you have heard of giving a 85 pound child the 65 mg. dose? What side effects should I look for if the dose is too high?

I'm not sure about 85 lbs but my son's doc said my son's max dose is supposed to be about 30mg and he's about 48 lbs so I guess 65 mgs wouldn't be that far off... I give my DD Stratera twice a day.
