bully case | ADHD Information

I live in Mass and this case is all over the news. I hope the bullies end up in jail. I also want THEM to pay for his laser removal.

The 14 year old who was bullied and tatooed returned to school yesterday only to be threatened and taunted so the parents had to pick him up early. SICK!

The parents are demanding a tutor for the remainder of the school year BUT I don't think he should EVER go back to this school. I think the district should pay to drive him to another town where he can receive an education!

Also the school told the press about his condition and special ed!! They are in such violation of privacy laws AND they got it all wrong. I loved hearing the reporter say the boy has BOTH ADD & ADHD -

People really don't have a clue about our adhd'ers and their diagnosis, and the laws well we all know how well they know them and follow them in school on IEP's and 504's!

I also wonder, the bullies, do you think they might have untreated/undiagnosed adhd? Just wondered!

That was not impulsive - no, I don't think they have ADHD, I think they're
spoiled brats who have been allowed to get away with anything they want
their whole lives. Parents of ADHD kids hear garbage all the time about if
they did a better job their kids wouldn't be so screwed up - we all know
that's totally untrue, but bullying kids, definitely parents are responsible
for their behavior.

And about the school releasing info - I told you last year that my son got
the math and reading awards and the other parents had a fit because he
was in special ed so they think he had academic help (which he didn't) so
he shouldn't have been eligible for the awards.

Don't you wish that every parent was as involved in their kids' lives as we
are and their "involvement" didn't consist of whining and excuse making?This child with ADHD was tattooed by his bullies. Is this what I have to look
forward to?

I wasn't able to pull up the link you put in your message.  My son is 9yrs old and has ADHD.  I always find myself educating the people around me that it takes a child with ADHD 6X more effort than the average child to control their activity level.  It also takes the parent 6X's more energy in finding creative ways to try to make it through the day with a smile an encouraging comments still coming out of your mouth.  I am hoping this ADHD message board will allow for me to gain additional strength/support and encouragement as at the end of the day I feel just as lost and pushed away as my son.

Corrina, omg I cant believe ANY parent had the NERVE to complain about that!  (I'm referring to your son winning the math and reading award)  I swear, one thing I've learned about being a mom (especially to an adhd'er) is that some parents are sooooo ingnorant and terribly unfair.  And I do wish every parent was as involved as we are with their children. 

I miss the story though on the news....what happened to this boy??

The victim is 14 yrs old. The perps are 18-20, yes that is correct. There were 4 of them, plus the 15 yr old who got the victim there. He was bullied often in school and people knew it, such as the teachers and staff, ut did nothing to help him.

They promised they would not pick on him anymore if they tattoed him. When he got there, they told him they were going to tatoo on his bottom what they wanted to, which was a penis and vulgar words. He said no and wanted to leave but they held him against his will, was told they would pummell him if he moved, the victim cried.

THEN when they are done tatooing his bottom, he leaves the basement where this all occurred, to find other high school students and they force him to drop his pants and show them. then they all take pictures with their cell phones.

THEN he goes to school, a teacher overhears students talking about it and reports it.

The victim is kept out of school for a week or so, goes back to only be bullied, threatened again, so the parents are called to pick him up early in the day. He is not returning this year, and parents are requesting, should demand, a tutor.  

I HOPE THE POLICE, JUDGE, JURY, THROW THE BOOK AT THESE PUNKS AND COWARDS!

MAKE THEM PAY FOR LASER REMOVAL, PRIVATE SCHOOLING, and PAIN AND SUFFERING!!
