What to do now! | ADHD Information

Hi There, I'm so sorry for what you're all going through.  I'm at my wits end also, and don't have solutions (although I'll share them when I find something), but would love for us to be a support for each other considering a girls are around the same age.  I have an 11 year old daughter that was diagnosed with ADHD Combined Type in the 2nd grade.  She's now in the 5th grade.  She is a C-D student.  She is on 30mg of Adderall XR per day and goes to therapy every other week.  The meds work to a point, because we can certainly notice, as does her teacher, when she hasn't had it.  She struggles with making & keeping friends, although she has a very bubbly personality because she's seen by the other children as "weird".  She's very confrontational with the kids.  She relates well with children about 3 years younger than her.  I read that children with ADHD have a maturity level about 3 years behind their peers.  She's very loud, can't stay on task and is very impulsive.  She lies without blinking an eye, steals from her classmates.  I feel for you, there are some days that I throw my hands in the air because I don't know what else to do. Sounds like a meds check is in order. If it was my daughter, I'd schedule an
appointment with the doctor. I have 3 Daughters 2 of have ADHD.My 18 year old has done great with the Meds she has been on. my 13 year old is another story i'm at my witts end and would love some helpful advice also with the ADHD she also has ODD. It is a everyday struggle to get off to school when she has a melt down it's big she's disrespectful, lies all the time and has been caught stealing from me money ect.She has been misbehaving in school talks back to the teachers walks out of class and will roam the hall and hide in the bathroom hurts others with words and has been phycial also, My house is walking on egg shells when she is home waiting for the next meltdown which is most of the time when  she doesn't get her way.We have tried grounding her that didnot work she thinks she can come and go as she pleases. just 2 weeks ago she decided she was gonna walk to a friends house had no idea where she was she did not let me know where she was going we found her hours later. Please write if you have any new idea's for us to try... thank u
