ok not one person can help me ????

I wish I had some answers to help you

I couldn't not respond and offer you a hug

I have son who is turning 13, severe speech delay, sensory integration and adHd. My son put the H in adHd!! That is the truth.

He doesn't have the epilepsy, but we have some similarities.

I would think that someone here would be able to offer you more insight than me.

Is he on an IEP at school? Is is in public or a more specialized school?

I just want you to know that we care about your son, family and YOU. You have our compassion and concern.

Please come here and "chat" when ever necessary. It is very lonely sometimes, I think.

I wish you all the very best!!

My son is on Vyvanse and it's fantastic for him - but he doesn't have
epilepsy, so I have no experience to help you there. Sorry! We have been dealing with ADHD since he was 3. Started out slow and tried everything before medicine. Then this past September we started Strattera. He was also on Depakote for his seizures and that has attention and learning issues. Anyway long story short we took him off his seizure meds by Neuro suggestion and also 5 years without seizures. We ALSO took him off Strattera to see if maybe his ADHD was triggered by the seizure med. Its been 3 weeks and we feel his ADHD is in full swing again. Defiant almost to the point of not processing what your saying to him even if you grab his chin and look into his eyes. Not knowing personal space with children and not going from one thing to the next in 5 min flat. Bouncing off the walls and I am not talking like a normal typical child. Up at 7 and does not go to sleep till he crashes at 11 or 12 at night. Almost back sliding. He is 8 going on 9. We deal with other issues like Epilepsy, SPD, ADHD, Cognitive Impaired Mild, Severe Speech Delayed, DD on some thing by 4 years almost. Lots to deal with. Spoke with Dr and might be time to put him back on.
Choices put him back on Strattera which sometimes makes him sick or Vyvanse which would be new for us. Its a stimulant Im told. Which puts us or wondering if this might work for him. His chance of seizure goes up with the Vyvanse but he has also been seizure free since 3.
What are your thoughts as a parent? Who has experience with Vyvance? Anyone have Epilepsy and us Vyvanse? Just really need some help. Thanks
