Despite Autism/ADHD, my son made it!!! | ADHD Information
He was able to sit through just over an hour of his 5th
grade graduation with NO screaming, melting down, freaking
out, running around (or away).... he sat with his homeroom
class (typical peers) and was good as gold! Yes, a special
needs teacher walked across the stage with him but she
didn't have to prompt him or anything and he DID GREAT! :)
See, our special kids CAN DO IT! :) We're so proud!asdkidsarecool40345.1823958333Congrats to you and your son!! He must be so proud of himself as well. The "lows" we all have to face with our kids during their struggles make the "highs" so much sweeter, don't they? Best wishes for a wonderful summer!

Congratulations!

crying for joy!
I am so happy for you AND proud of your son!
And yes, WE CAN DO IT!!
you are an awesome mom. I have read many of your posts and you are so great at being your children's mom.
I am so happy for you!
Thanks you guys! I was really, so very proud....
I took him over to his brother's school this afternoon
for his brother's class party (let's not get into the
fact that my son was sitting in his classroom with one
other student, a down's syndrome girl who he doesn't
really like or tolerate well due to her
behaviors.....)...
he did reasonably well.... better than I expected! He did
through a minor fit about wanting to go into the library
so once he calmed down I let him go into the library and
ask politely if he could look at a few books. So he did
and he was fine and now we're home :)
Congratulations to your son on behaving so well at the graduation ceremony and on his accomplishment of graduating!
