New law on Adderall? | ADHD Information

First sorry if this is in the wrong place.... and if its been asked before.

I went to fill my prescription, and my copay was more than normal.  Normally its for brand, and for generic.  Don't know why its backwards but it is. 

I have been taking 2x25mg Adderall XR daily for years (Since I was 16 now I'm 24).  Never had a  problem with the number of pills in a month, until now.

So today it was for generic and 0 for brand  HUH?!?!?!?! I already paid my deductible this year, it should not be so high.   I called my insurance company to see what changed, they inform me that it is a federal law that you can not receive more than 34 pills in a 25 day rotation, IIRC.  I ask the girl if this is a new law, or what since I have never had a problem before.  She has no clue.  Only thing I can think of , the law became effective July 1, 2010.

Anyone know more about this or have the same experience?
