Hello All. My son is currently on Adderall and we will soon be switching him to Vyvansse, as the adderall isn't really having enough of an effect. He is also on Fluvox for OCD issues, which we are still increasing until we get to our "goal". Anyway, I've noticed that many people use Tenex and fish oil. What do these address and how well do they work for people, generally speaking? We also use Melatonin which has worked pretty well overall. Thanks for your input!
My son uses both. The fish oil is supposed to have an overall calming effect on the body and is good for general health. Some people notice a big difference with their children but I have never noticed any effect. I just figure the doc recommends it, it's healthy, so what the heck!
He's also on Tenex. This has an overall calming effect also. Except this medication makes a HUGE difference for my son! He also has Sensory Processing Disorder and stimulants aggravated it. The stims also aggravate his anxiety. The Tenex calms all of this and allows him to take stimulants (which he so desperately needs!) I've heard others say that Tenex also helps with OCD and tics.
