Welcome Aboard! Are you a "newbie"? Please introduce yourself so we can roll out the Welcome Wagon, whoop it up, threw confetti, and give you a BIG hug or two     Rick O'Shea40410.7861574074 Greetings! Hello! Holas!

My name is Rick O'Shea! It was originally "Ricochet" but it seems that every website I try to use it, it's already been taken! Bah!

A little about me. I've had ADHD ever since I was a child and despite what the doctors told my Mom, I NEVER GREW OUT OF IT! I as recently as three years ago found this out. Imagine I lived most of my life being mis-diagnosed and not knowing what was wrong with me! Now, that I finally know, I know how to deal with it, sort of.

I officially stopped taking my medication on Thanksgiving Day 2009. I now deal with my symptoms though regular workouts, eating healthy and taking supplements. I found I can no longer consume coffee, because the caffeine makes me SUPER HYPER! I've cut down on sugar and pre-processed foods.

I work the midnight shift as a clerical worker. So, I have a drastically different lifestyle than everyone else. Like a Vampire I sleep during the day rise at dusk and work at night.

My interests are: Running, jogging, race walking, weight training, photography, writing, jazz, reading, the Bible and classics and Shakespeare. I'm also into Star Trek ( TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT - those in the know, know those are the difference series's ), I literally watched Trek growing up.

I'm also an "Andromeda" fan and LOVE Keith Hamilton Cobb, who plays Tyr Anasazi in the show! In fact I started and maintain a small fansite for him, because I was horrified the man didn't have a site. I refused to let him "go quietly into the night"!

Most of my writing is Trek and Andromeda related and classified as fanfiction. However, I am also working on a new Vampire novels. I'm am endeavoring to write it from a very different angle so it won't be considered "just another one of those Vampire books".

My ultimate goal and dream? To become a bestselling author

Hi Ya Rick and Biily.

Glad you are both sharing.

This board has been very helpful for me.  Especially in realizing I don't need to be isolated with my add issues.

Best Wishes

Thanks you for the post.
Hi guys, Im a newbie. Nice to join this forum.
Hi
I'm sharon a new one here. I had gastric
bypass surgery in 2005 and lost 107 lbs.
I feel great but I have been told I am
bipolar/add. Wow so here I am. Learning to
take my meds right. Thank you all for having
me. Hi, I am Holly. My youngest son age 7 was diagnosed with
severe ADHD 5 months ago, we weren't crazy about trying
medication, but he was struggling so bad in school. We
started him on the generic form of adderall . We lucked
out. First dosage worked perfectly for him. He started
this school year and his teachers say it is night and day
difference. He is more confidant and things at home with
him have been awesome. He has 4 older siblings. Now the
school wants us to have our triplets checked for ADD.
Which is no surprise to us, but that has us worried as we
have insurance but we have a high deductable and already
pay 4 for our youngest son's meds. Are there any
resources that can help with this? Hello, this is Boris Clark from U.S. I found this forum site very interesting and exciting. It will be my privilege to become a member or a part of this site. borisclark40451.1293981482
