My son's ADHD had been well managed for about a year now on meds. Recently he's been displaying some of the old symptoms so we are "tweaking" the meds...hopefully it will work! Fingers crossed!
My son has seen numerous doctors and currently sees a psychopharmacologist and we've been very happy with her. But a relative of mine works for a neurologist and she asked him if it would be worth while to have my son see a pediatric neurologist. He said it would be a good idea. Is there really any benefit from that? I've heard some say that doctors can make recommendations based on brain scans but I know this is not a widely accepted view. Any experiences or opinions would be appreciated.
