Info or stories on Ritalin Please!!

My son was diagnosed ADHD over three years ago, and we have tried MANY different meds.  Now he is taking 15mg generic Ritalin in the AM, and then another 15mg at lunch.  This is working really well for him.  I like it because it is short acting, so his appetite is not affected very much.  It's my favorite med by far.  Just brings him down so that he can focus, and helps with the hyperness and impulsivity.

Hi my 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD , ODD and seperational Anxiety. The doctor just perscirbed Ritalin today 5mg in the morning for a couple days and then increased to one tablet in the morning and a second in the afternoon. My daughter already has intestional malabsorption and is very low weight so we have to watch out for her growth. My problem is I'm so scared that the medication is going to change who she is but on a other hand she has become very angry and emotional where I have to try something. So please share your stories good or bad just so I know Im not alone in this. Thanks you
